“I understand.” It comes with the territory of being immortal. In her life she has already lost many good friends. “It’s really…hard to open up to people sometimes, because you know deep down they aren’t going to be there forever while you will be.”

“Yeah, it definitely impacts how I choose to engage with people. Even with those who are here for a while – things about their circumstances may change the way they are able to relate.” It was something they had seen firsthand and dealt with the consequences of over time.

traumeriin‌:

“I’m sorry to hear that.” It wasn’t Rosemary’s intentions to bring up old wounds, but it seems as if she did just that by asking about their siblings.

“Ah, it’s alright. I mean, I’m used to it – I don’t really expect to keep people around too long anyway.” It was just a part of living as long as they did, coming with the territory for better or worse.

traumeriin‌:

“Do you have any siblings Saima?” While they spoke of her children, it occurred to her that she really doesn’t know much about her friend’s family life.

The question about having siblings gives Saima a bit of pause. “Ah, no. Not really. I had individuals I used to consider practically siblings but..they’re not really in my life anymore.”

traumeriin‌:

Rosemary nods as she watches her little ones run off to play with the dollhouse set up in the living room corner. “Oh, I’m sure of it! Believe it or not Ari wasn’t excited about having a sibling at first but now these two are best friends.”

“That’s super cute that they’ve managed to get along so well. Guess that’s the fun of having more than one child, seeing how they grow to interact with each other.” Even if it does mean a little more worry that comes with the territory.

traumeriin‌:

Rosemary shakes her head as watches her children’s reaction. “As long as the baby is healthy, I’ll be happy.” Judging from her children’s reaction, the same can’t be said for them.  “Saima is right, you know? It doesn’t matter what the baby is because in the end of the day you’re going to get a new lil’ friend.”

Saima supposes it can’t be helped. Children are going to feel whatever way they feel and it doesn’t seem like to be changed. “Ah, they’ll figure it out as they older. Or find a way to deal with it one way or another.”

traumeriin‌:

“And soon there is going to be a third giving me a headache.” Rosemary shakes her head as she ruffles her children’s hair. “I wan’ a bwothew!” Chirps Ari with a huge smile on his face. Dahlia on the other hand looks mortified by the suggestion that their mother could possibly be having a boy.

“Just another addition to the mischief makers.” Poor Rosemary having to deal with that kind of mess. “Well, you never know what kind of sibling you might get. It should be fun to have someone else around in anyway.” Not to mention Dahlia’s reaction was legitimately quite funny.

Rosemary kneels down to her children’s height and gives them both several kisses on the cheek. In response they start to squeal in delight. “Oh, I think these two get a kick out of making me and their dad worry.”

“Heh, I guess that’s kids for you. Always all too willing to get into some kind of trouble.” It was a scene that they had seen played out time and time again. Children into mischief to scare their parents – likely just a part of being young and entertaining themselves.

traumeriin:

“You’re right, but given the situation I suppose I can make do…” Rosemary’s voice trails off as she rubs her growing bump. “And I guess that since Ari and Dahlia are gone now, the baby will get all their toys.” The moment she says this both of them come running out and then cling to her legs. “Oh! Look, I found them Saima.”

“Ah, it’s only fair to make do while you can. ” The sudden appearance of the other children clinging to Rosemary’s leg makes Saima laugh. “Oh there you guys are, your mother was very concerned about you all, you know.” They couldn’t help but tease a little bit.

“Oh, have you heard the news? My kids are gone!” As Rosemary speaks, the sound of giggling children can be heard underneath the table. She notices it and obviously knows where they are, but she continues with the act. “I guess it’s a good thing I’m having another baby because I can’t find the other two.”

The sound of the children tips Saima off as to how to respond. “Oh dear, what dreadful news. Who knows where those other two could have gotten off to.” A nod of sympathy just to go along with the each. “At least there’s the third baby coming.. but it’s no replacement you know?”
