“I mean, I dunno. I don’t think that should matter. As long as you like them then it’s fine…I mean, they are your eyes after all.”

“True. I might as well like them for what they’re worth.”

traumeriin‌:

Rosemary laughs as she pushes some hair behind her ear. “Yeah, I don’t mind it though. It’s honestly worth the mess just to see how excited they get while they do it.”

“Heh, I guess seeing how excited and delighted they get when they get to make you over is worth the cost in that case.”

traumeriin‌:

“Yeah, the only troublesome thing about it is that I can’t always find everything they put in there…so I’ll be brushing my hair and then all of a sudden I’ll find another pin!”

“That would do it. It’s easy for things to get lost in thicker hair. So you’ll never know what might be lurking. Such is the cost of a makeover.”

“Oh this? The kids did it.” Rosemary laughs as she motions to the various hair clips in her hair. “They asked to give me a makeover and I just couldn’t say no.”

Saima couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at the sight of Rosemary’s makeover. “That’s really endearing though. It’s fun when the kids want to do something like that.”

[text] oh no… you’ve got my sympathies friend 😦

TEXT TO SAIMA 🌤️💕 → it’s alright right now they’re just watching aladdin on their iPad
TEXT TO SAIMA 🌤️💕 → i’m just worried their sleep schedule is going to get messed up because they’re up so late

[text] Ah well, it’s nice they’ve got something to entertain them.

[text] That’s a valid concern, it doesn’t seem like much can really be done here.

“Oh, for sure! I think cookies are their favorite, but they also really like ice cream.” At the mention of the frosty treat Dahlia perks up. “We’re not having ice cream Dali. You haven’t even finished your cookie!”

“Hm, I get that. I like ice cream quite a bit as well – but a good cookie is often so satisfying.” Speaking of which, Saima happily enjoys their own snickerdoodle by taking little bites out of it.

traumeriin‌:

Ari waves back, but Dahlia’s attention is completely consumed by her cookie. “Honestly, these two seem to like any sort of sweet.”

Saima understands the cookie is incredibly important. “I can’t really blame them. I’m pretty game for most sweets as well. The sheer variety can be fascinating to discover.”

traumeriin‌:

Rosemary nods as she hands her friend a cup of tea. “I think so too. Plus, the kids love it! Which reminds me, Ari! Dahlia!” Once they’re called the two of them come running into the kitchen. Each one is given a cookie before she pours tea for herself.

They accept the cup of tea with a thanks. “All the more important if the kids enjoy it.” Seeing the children enter the room, Saima gives a slight friendly wave a the kids.

traumeriin‌:

“Perfect.” Rosemary motions for them to follow her into the kitchen. “I also made some snickerdoodle cookies if you’re interested.”

Saima is glad to follow Rosemary into the kitchen.”Ah, snickerdoodle cookies sound really nice. Makes for a nice accompaniment for the tea as far as I can tell.”

traumeriin‌:

“Well, you’ll still have me. I’m not going anywhere any time soon.” Rosemary shrugs with a small, sad smile. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring the mood down. Would you like some tea?”

“That’s nice to hear, I have to admit.” Despite things having taken a bit of a melancholy turn, Saima does appreciate that reassurance. “It’s fine you didn’t really know. Some tea would be lovely.”
