“Singing as a habit got instilled in me really young, especially during work that had to be done. There are still records of working songs that would be sung as a group while accomplishing some task or another. I guess it was a way to communicate and get through the large amounts of labor that being a laborer and worker of the land required. I still carry that habit to this day of singing while I work, although I tend to do that more when I’m working from home these days. ”
