“It’s a pleasure, Saamuel,” he says, taking a step back. “That sounds like a delicious choice. If you’d like to join me on the patio, I have an extra seat. “ he informs as he obtains the napkins he had originally come back into the very crowded coffee shop for. “No conversation required.”

“Sounds like a plan. I’d love to join you on the patio.” The lack of requirement for conversation even made it more appealing – just so that they could relax in relative peace. Besides, there was something about sitting on the patio that was nice in these warmer months.

will–power:

“No need to thank me. I just hope you pay kindness forward.” He replies, offering his hand. “I’m William, by the way. What are you drinking today?”

“I’ll certainly try to. ” They accept the hand for a handshake. “Name’s Saamuel. I was planning on getting a mocha.”

will–power:

“Here, please. Allow me to pay for your drink” he says from behind them, setting down the needed funds for the barista to take. He smiles to them. 

“…You, you didn’t really need to do that. But uh thanks?” It was a surprise as they were prepared to pay for their own drink. Still they return a bit of a smile, grateful for the kindness.
