traumeriin:

❝Do you know how to make sourdough by any chance? It’s my favorite bread, but I’m kinda worried that if I learn how to make that’s all I eat.❞

“Actually I do know how to make sourdough. Haha, that’s a valid concern. Once you can make it, the temptation to have it all the time is real.”

traumeriin:

❝What can I say, I’m a bit of a foodie.❞ Rosemary laughs as she thinks of what they could do together. ❝You can teach me how to make rye bread, and I’ll let you in on my banana bread secrets.❞

“Can’t blame you for that. I could be considered the same.”After all, they were more than willing to try all kinds of food. “Sounds like a really good deal to me. I could always use some more bread recipes.”

traumeriin:

❝Oh my gosh, I love bread. Maybe we could bake it together some time!❞

“Yes, another bread-lover. I just knew you had taste, Rosie.” They were genuinely enthusiastic about the idea despite being a little teasing. “That would be fun, I’d be glad to bake some bread with you.”

traumeriin:

❝Do you do a lot of cooking?❞ She figures at this point they are aware that Rosemary loves to make food. However, she only realizes now that she never asked if they enjoy cooking as well.

“I do cook a solid amount.” Although it wasn’t really needed for their survival. “I make a couple meals to last through the week. And I bake a lot of rye bread for myself and friends.”

traumeriin:

After getting their opinion she picks up a muffin and takes a bite of it. It isn’t bad, but she agrees that it could benefit from having a stronger taste. ❝Yeah, I can see that. Thankfully I have a lil’ while to make them better before Thanksgiving.❞

“Right. And it’s always better to get feedback earlier on so that you can make those changes.” Although they were always up for trying things because it was food, they would appreciate that Rosie had clearly wanted to make sure her muffins were excellent for a special occasion.

traumeriin:

After they take one she nervously awaits their reaction. If the cupcakes are bad she wants to know so she can improve next time, but she still really hopes they turned out okay. ❝Be honest with me. I want to know what you really think.❞

They take a few bites from the cupcakes and thinks for a moment while relishing how they taste. It’s always a challenge to articulate what food actually tastes like in words. “…Right. I mean, I like them. I feel like maybe a little more seasoning would complement the pumpkin really nicely. Maybe a bit of cinnamon or something.”

traumeriin:

@seekesotsibteadmist liked this for a starter.

❝Wanna be my test taster?❞ Asks the dreamer as she motions to pumpkin muffins she made. ❝I’ve never made these before so I’m not sure how they taste.❞

“I’d love to be your test taster.” There’s something about sweets that always brings a little smile to Saima’s face. “Well, I’d be more than happy to let you know.” And with that, they go to get one of those pumpkin muffins.

traumeriin:

❝I was really grateful for it. I got to clean up the mess and exit the elevator as if it never happened.❞

“Right. Sometimes that is the best you can do with those kinds of situations. ”

traumeriin:

❝Oh, for sure. I was just grateful that no one else was in the elevator with me…If someone saw me I think I would have died in that very elevator!❞

“Ah yeah. Understandable. Thank goodness for being alone at moments like that. The less witnesses, the better is usually a good rule for times like that.”

traumeriin:

❝Exactly.❞ Rosemary places the two kids in her daughter’s crib. Aristotle really should be in his own bed, but she figures she can move him once he wakes from his nap. ❝Gosh, yesterday…it was so embarrassing. I ended up spilling all my groceries in the elevator. Can you believe that?❞

The thought of spilling all the groceries inspires a sympathetic sigh even if the image of that happening was somewhat amusing to Saima. “Heh. I can believe that for sure. I just…that must have been so much to handle. Like no one asks for that kind of nonsense to happen in their day.”
