How much pain can your muse withstand?

They can handle most of being burned alive pretty okay. Towards the end they pass out rather than feel a whole lot. Additionally, they can deal with wounds from sword injuries are gun shots okay – but it’ll be obvious that they are hurt. They’ll just continue at least until they get to a point where they need to withdraw.

So they take about an average about of pain and would be able to work through it for some time longer, if something required that.

I think think is the part where I thank you for being sane. Thank you, Saamuel.

   [they give a little nod]

You’re welcome. Sometimes you’ve got to remember that you’ve just got to do you. Regardless of what everyone else is doing. And if you need someone to talk to – you know where to find me.

My question is– Does every relationship any of you have have to be sexual? I was about to suggest pseudo familial as an alternate option if friendship won’t work, but it seems as if that’s regarded as a blurred line as well amongst our kind.

[ stares into his coffee cup ] …Is everyone just fucking everyone….?

    No. It doesn’t.  I mean, I manage to maintain friends and doing much with them. So it’s definitely possible.  But maybe that’s an exception.

Nonetheless, I wouldn’t lose faith so quickly Ludwig. I’m sure it seems pretty.. uh charged at moments like these. But I guess that’s just who some people are.

It was reassuring to see that Saamuel was comfortable enough to smile though Ludwig couldn’t help but wonder for the reason behind it. He followed them through to the door, moving to lead them to a seat. They would have to approach the counter to order, but for now they could take a look at what was offered. He gestured for them to sit.

–“I’m glad. I wouldn’t want to have kept you waiting long,” He gestured to the chalkboard menu on the wall behind the cashier, “You can take a look at what they have.”

Having been lead to a seat, Saam comfortably took a seat before directing their attention to the menu which was on the wall. “Fair enough. It’s nice to just try to be as on time as possible when meeting up with others. Or at least, I try to live by that guideline.” Despite standards being different in different places – it was just a consistency that Saamuel enjoyed having.

Perusing the menu, they examined the choices available. “I always kind of like when they do the chalkboard menu thing. It’s a relatively nice touch even if I can’t fully explain why. ”

Ludwig arrived, as Saamuel had predicted, on the dot. It was a habit of his to make it to appointments whether they be personal or professional on time as it did well to respect the other party as well as improve one’s reputation. When he saw Saamuel, he nodded towards them, pleased to see that they’d found the place without any apparent trouble, “Saamuel, you made it. I hope you haven’t been waiting long?”

He moved to open the door for them, standing aside to let them pass through.

The arrival of Ludwig right on the dot made Saamuel grin a bit. It was almost endearing how the punctuality was so very much there. Not a surprise by any means but a welcomed reliability in that way. Saam returns a small nod of their own before going to the door. “Ludwig, good to see you. I haven’t been waiting here long at all. I just got here maybe a few moments before.”

With a small thanks, they entered the coffee shop.

@marching-man

    It was a Thursday after all – and Saamuel had taken an early day so that they could spend some time with a colleague. They could always claim that it was developing relations which was technically true, even if it wasn’t a work thing at all.  They had arrived at one of Ludwig’s preferred coffee shops that they had agreed on earlier that week and waited outside for the other. Surely, it would only be a matter of time before Ludwig arrived. Even in more casual situations, Saam could probably rely on Lud’s punctuality.
