“I can make the land suited for most everything, my love, but you are correct, and smart, to keep things for later use.” Matthias, with no real need to eat, didn’t consider such things often.

“Ah, yes … he’s curious. Used to be a human.” But now was not, and having come into this position through a plethora of magic and tragedy.

“Ah, that’s convenient then. That’ll help make the farm be all the more productive for whatever we may choose to grow.“ Having been all too used to strategizing what to plan, having that availability would be so wonderful.

“Used to be a human huh? Wow, I can imagine that must have been quite the experience to go through. “

“Oh, I know that. I mean like, later.” Though if she had a snake she would probably carry it around all the time. After all, purse dogs are so last season! “Wow, they’re so cute. I love their color.”

“Of course, of course. I’d be glad to have you meet in person.” It should be a fun excuse to show off their beloved little companion. “Incredibly cute. I received them as a gift and fell in love immediately.”

futurepop‌:

“You have a snake?” Hearing that fact puts a huge smile on her face. Eve has always had a soft spot for reptiles, and she really likes snakes specifically. “Can I see it? I’ve always wanted to pet a snake.”

“I don’t have them on me – but I can show you a picture.” They take their camera out and shows Eve a photo of a light green cornsnake resting on their leg. “This is Alina. I’ve had them for almost a year now – absolutely precious little thing really.”

“Aye…fuckin’ shouldve’, yer lucky ave’ half the mind ta care about cars enough that I’m not takin this from ye…fer such fuckin’ disregard” The mechanic grumbles, flicking a twice-dirty rag out of his pocket to wipe his hands, while eyes coarse over the soul before him and the mind begins to wonder why people seemed to pay little to no attention to property. Had he the money to afford a newer vehicle, there wasn’t a chance in hell he’d be as oblivious. “I’ll change the oil and fix the leak, but ye gotta wait fer it, hate ta break it ta ye”.

They were already feeling a little embarrassed about the whole deal so they can’t really be bothered to give much of a response to the commentary Maybe they’d be better off just selling the thing and renting for whenever they needed a vehicle. It was something that had been in the back of their mind.

“That’s fine. I don’t have any trouble waiting. You don’t have to be sorry about that at all.“ If it was going to get service, Saima was all too willing to pay the price of time and money just to have things taken care of.

futurepop‌:

“That’s so cool.” Eve cannot say the same about herself. Whether animals like her or not is hit or miss, and she thinks it has something to do with the fact that she isn’t human. “Do you have a lot or pets at home or something?”

“I mean, I have a cornsnake that I look after. But I’ve had a lot of pets over the years who I loved. And I have a pretty deep connection to nature in general. So that’s probably why animals and I tend to get on pretty well.” Simply the nature of simultaneously of nature and beyond nature. It allowed for some pretty interesting connections as far as Saima was concerned.

Setau nods, humming as he thought of his own work. “I do…I do try my hardest to stick to the facts– I know I’m not…I’m no journalist chasing after a big story but, uh, I was always taught in school and growing to…to be truthful. There is still a lot of good in the truth.”

They listen in understanding, getting what Setau was trying to say. “Right, and I think there is still much value to telling the truth. Especially when so many will sell whatever to get their message across, it seems like those trying to find truth have to be more dedicated than ever.”

sansarika‌:

“That’s intelligent of you! I don’t have that sort of preemptive judgment.” She snorts under her breath while her hands occupy themselves with rearranging the folds in her skirt. “I see something, anything that’s a pretty color and everything else becomes a blur. It’s quite literally a fatal flaw, if I’ve ever told you about the time I was killed at my own wedding.”

Saima laughs a little bit at her comment about not having preemptive judgment. They could understand how a pretty color could distract one from anything else about the situation. “Wow. Talk about a deadly desire – I feel like you’ve mentioned it but I need to hear more about this story.”
