“Heh, guess so. It’s what drinking can be for though – asking weird and big questions.” Made such interactions entertaining, to say the least. Saima sips from their drink while listening to Kyle’s response. It made a whole lot of sense. “I mean you could go as weird as you wanted to. But being able to live as a human and mind your own business is the real dream. Nothing like being able to really and truly fuck off from it all.”
Atlas sat at the edge of the ocean, the water lapped at his feet warm and comforting in the way that nature often was. There was a fire in the distance, so far away it was but a dot of red and orange to him. He had left the celebrations hours ago when he realised that no one really held his interest. Turning his head again he watched a figure approaching, shimmering like a mirage. When they where close enough he leaned back squinting up at them in the fading light. “Come to join my party of one?”
Despite being around festivities, there were moments where Saima had to get away. If only for the sake of recollecting themselves, strolling alongside the water was a means of feeling more at ease. Listening to the waves roll in, they relished the way the ground felt beneath footsteps. Seeing that someone was sitting near the ocean, Saima slowed down a bit as they approached.
“If you’ll allow someone to join you, I’d be up for it.“
forest are all different even if mortals look at them like they were the same, Nymphs know the difference, they know every branch, every tree, every leaves. Eurydice place her hands upon the biggest tree in the wilderness and smiles as her fingers feel the life beating inside.“These one is old”she says and place her cheek against it “ but lively.”
There’s a character to every forest, something that Saima takes quite a bit of delight in. It keeps things so very interesting – makes every space a chance to explore. And being around someone who recognizes that is truly refreshing. “Oh certainly. That one has always had plenty to say, so many stories.”
A hand placed on the tree, there’s a feeling of recognition between Saima in the tree. “That one always wanted to be known as lively as well. ”
‘ do you ever wonder what we learned? ‘ Saima had to admit sometimes it often felt like a blur – despite having picked up so much over the years. There seems like it was always going to be this contrasting feeling of knowing too much and also nothing at all. As always, the truth was somewhere in the middle.
"I suppose at one time in my life I might have had any number of stories, but now there is no other. This is the only story I will ever be able to tell.“
“To be left with the one story – I guess there’s a consistency to it. But I can’t help but suspect there’s a loss of opportunity there. To know that it could have gone so many other ways and yet end up with this – feels always rather frustrating, to say the least.”
Sometimes Saima had a way of saying things that inadvertently hit entirely too close to home. It appeared that this was yet again the case with McKenzie.
Pausing alongside them, they think for a moment as well. “Hm. It’s something I’ve just been thinking about for a while – and I sometimes get the same impression from you. I can relate to that whole thing entirely too much.” After all, it had been entirely too long since they even approached being a someone in their whole self.
Don’t mind her. She’s just a Goddess sleeping on the ground somewhere.
It wasn’t often that Saima had came across someone just laying on the ground. Just not a sight that they had witnessed in sometime. So when they encountered someone right in the midst of the pathway, they strolled upon – there was some kind of small concern.
Pausing to bend down a bit, they lightly poked at the individual – hoping to get their attention. If only to suggest a safer napping location.
“Those do tend to be so easy targets, don’t they?” she laughed, her claws slowly extending out. She began to walk down the street, humming slightly as she began to think of someone. “I know someone I won’t miss,” she grinned maliciously, not bothering to hide her fangs. The big villa that laid at the edge of the little town belonged to an asshole who took advantage because he had the money.
“Exactly. They set themselves up for mess just by existing.“ Their laughter is mischievous as their form seems to change while they walk. Their eyes get brighter and more alien – form less recognizable human. More divine and full of uncontrollable magic, with their markings and ‘fog-like’ breath liable to shock someone coming through with ease.
“Heh, all the more to have some fun with that individual..“ Those who wouldn’t be missed were perfect targets.
