“You would know this more than anyone I should think,” Lilli reminds Saima with a nod to their more developed sense of self and style. They were a vision, as always, seeming to be something ethereal masquerading as human. Sometimes Lilli wonders if that is how they always appear to humans or if it is just them.

“Indeed. One could even say I know this from experience.“ A knowing smile they give in response. Nothing like being able to go through things firsthand and testify to the process.  Something about having that kind of perpetually changing feeling that resonates with them.

“It is baby steps, yes? Just small little things. One has to experiment with one’s life and have fun with it.” Lilli cannot imagine living her life in one set comfort zone. Yes, she is about following rules but she also supports pushing boundaries as much as the rules allow.

“Of course. Baby steps are key. Even small things could be enough to inspire more exploration. Or at least you say you gave it a go.“ Saima was all too willing to try things – it seems like trying things and going somewhere new was at the root of what they valued.

“We’ll see how it works. It usually works with getting him to eat, though almost nothing else does.” But that was not her dirty laundry to air. “I wouldn’t put him in anything he wasn’t comfortable with, ultimately. If I get him something, I want him to actually want to wear it.”

“Hm, fair enough. All you can do is try it.“ A small nod of understanding. “Obviously, you’d prefer to find something that would work for him as well. It makes sense to like to see a gift of clothing being worn at some point.“

lilli-of-the-mountain‌:

“I cannot make him but I can try to at least force him to wear one jewel tone for the sake of his poor sister’s happiness.” Lilli was just as good at delivering Catholic guilt as she was at feeling it.

“I guess. Good luck with trying that out.“ Somehow guilt felt more like a repulsive than a motivating tactic, but that was just Saima’s experiences coming through there.

“She’s all sparkles and pretty pastels. I like pretty pinks and pastels but I’m fairly certain they don’t look good on me. So all black it is! It’s sleek! And if I end up spilling my coffee on myself no one can tell!”

“Fair. Besides black works for many occasions. You can show up in black anywhere and always be fitting. If that’s not flexibility, I don’t really know what is. Nothing like being able to hide stains effectively.”

My sister is forever disdained by the lack of color in my wardrobe. I’m also apparently the model of a popular bottom. But that’s beside the point.”

“Ah well, that’s her problem, not yours. But really your style is just fine – I don’t really get the point of commenting on style when no one really asked in the first place. ”

She’s has a soft blush on her cheeks, she giggles excitedly And place a soft kiss on the Tree. And let’s hope he stays like that, with time I have seen so many go into silence. My sisters too went into their homes and never ever return. Please, old tree keep singing, this forest needs you. Eurydice’s innocent gaze fall upon Saima’s frame. Do you have stories? – I’ll love to hear them

A nod of understanding – it was lovely to see someone who cared so much for nature. “Alas, I have seen that too many times as well. They usually have descendants that grow up – which is nice. But it’s still a loss, nonetheless.” The question causes them to smile.

“I have many stories really. For many years, I would roam among the forests – finding a home out here with the trees and the creatures. It was always places like these that brought me comfort in not really belonging to this world.“

@seekesotsibteadmist hath been with queen mab

She chuckled heartily, it was earthy and oddly human for a fairy queen. Though ‘Queen’ had never really suited her. Whatever power she had was deeper, warmer. “You needn’t be so formal,” Mab insisted. “My husband’s court is too small to stand on ceremony.”

Saima returns a small smile, one that’s a little embarrassed at first. “Hah, good to know Mab. I just wanted to be respectful upon first meeting you, that’s all.” It was better to err in a little more formality than to be rude – at least as far as they were concerned. “But it seems like a delightful court nonetheless.”
