Atlas smiled at their words he wanted to continue looking at the statues but he knew it would just look weird, they had already been there for some time. Eventually, he sighed standing up, “Why don’t we reminisce about other things, I fear if I look at any more statues of myself I might become as vain as Aphrodite herself.”

When they saw that Atlas had stood up, Saima joined him ready to stroll along further. “Oh certainly – there’s plenty of memories to be said. Memories of seeing the way people would just light up with a familiarity that was enough to warm even the most lonesome heart at times.” They can’t help but laugh at the comment about being vain as Aphrodite.

“Wouldn’t worry about that – seems like you’ve got plenty of room to go before you reach that point. Not that I can blame you for enjoying the sight.“

He looked back at the statue of himself. He didn’t receive praise, or scorn, anymore but people still travelled from far and wide to see him and that was enough to keep Atlas alive. To keep him grounded so he didn’t fade into nothing. “I think it’s nice. Time has changed so much, it’s strange to think that I was there once when they built this, all of this. And to see it so many years later admired by people who don’t have a clue. It makes me feel a little hopeful.”

Looking at the statues, Saima felt a little wistful – knowing the imagery of their home was more sparse. But the traditions were still there in a way, passed down through holidays and song and maybe that would have to do for now.

“True, I do get the appeal. To see that people still have admiration for these stories for those in those stories..it’s nice. Sometimes knowing that the stories or images of these stories are still out there is inspiring. It’s comforting to still be part of the people’s imagination.“

Atlas let out a laugh throwing his head back, he raised his beer slightly. “Amen to that, I’m Atlas by the way,” he shoved his beer in the sand dusting his hand off slightly before extending it. “I sort of only came to this thing for a friend of a friend and the free beer but I sort of regret that now.”

The laugh made Saima smile, enjoying the sound for a moment. “Nice to meet you Atlas.” Once the hand was extended, they accepted Atlas’s hand for a handshake. “I get what you mean. I came to meet some folks and while I did that earlier – it’s also just kind of hard to navigate. Makes one need to get a break from it all. ” Socializing wasn’t something that came super easily to Saima so they needed breaks to recharge and center themselves.

“Sorry that you kind of regret it – the things you do for a friend of a friend, huh?“

After scrolling through her phone a bit she shows off the ultrasound picture to her friend. The baby really does look like a blob at the moment, but the general shape of a little human is there. “That’s my lil’ Timothy! I can’t wait till he gets here.”

Saima goes to take a look at the ultrasound picture. It was still kind of strange that such photos could be taken. But it made them smile a bit nonetheless. “Ah what a cute little blob. I’m sure he’ll be a precious little baby once born.”

Ayumu watches, still completely enthralled by Saima’s gestures and even more impressed as what was a light mist in the air became fat raindrops that bounced off his head. He clearly didn’t mind getting soaked, not moving an inch as the rain beats down on him; in fact he looks so content as his hair starts to cling to his forehead.

“I do not have much power assside…being better than humansss and being able to change my form…if I had powersss like yoursss, I would never ceassse to ussse them.” No doubt for silly reasons, to show off and to further ward humans off the beach.

The feeling of the cool raindrops falling on their head refreshes Saima. There’s something about being among the falling water that is, in fact, quite soothing to the point where they don’t regret the demonstration at all.

“Hm, fair enough. But I think there’s definitely a lot of power in being able to change your form. So many humans wish they could do that but don’t have that option at all.“

“estonia? oh dear, that doesn’t help me much at all.” it’s all a bit overwhelming, however leto is trying to not let it show. after all, it’s not like it would help. “i was looking for my son.” she sounds a bit disappointed with not being in the right place. sometimes directions could be so difficult. especially with unfamiliar places. “i guess you could say I’m a few steps off.

The response makes it clear that this was not where the lady needed to be at all. Saima gives a little bit of a sympathetic sigh, already knowing how terribly lost she might be. “Looking for your son huh – who is he and when’s the last time that you saw him. I can’t say he definitely passed through here – but who knows where he might have gotten off to.”

If they other assumed he’d drop everything and rush to his vehicle he was mistaken, Clyde had other work to do. Like everyone else, the soul before him and had to wait the turn and the young mechanid  had no issues making them, or anyone else for that matter do so. Clyde operated on his own time, and when things we’re convenient for him. Gone somewhat were those days of patience on his part and the will to cater to others. It was sad but it was also just the way of the wind.

Time had been passing but Saima also knew that from glancing out a bit, that there were other cars. It only took looking out the office window to realize that there had been other efforts in front of them. Expectations thoroughly put back into check, they returned to their book. It seemed like Clyde would get to it when he got to it.

Rosemary smiles as she places the stitching down on the coffee table. “Do you want to see the ultrasound pictures? He kinda looks like lasagna right now, but I still adore him.”

“Sure, I’ll check out the ultrasounds. Hah – isn’t that how it usually starts – not looking anything much like a human. But growing over time.” Ah the miracles of pregnancy still kind of intrigued Saima in a way.

I don’t DO fancy galas. But with the right personI guess it could be fun. Claire sips her drink, ah. She hated fancy wine. So her face twist and she shudders, “ Do you….want the rest of this? I think I’d rather drink WATER. “

“Understandable, it’s really the matter of the company that makes such things bearable.” It was a lesson Saima had to learn the hard way over the years. “Sure, I’ll finish that off for you. Rather not go to waste if you’re not enjoying it.”

“What do you think?” Rosemary smiles as she shows off her cross-stitching. In the center is a picture of a basil with the name Timothy Basil Fox above it. “It’s for the baby. Did I tell you? We’re having a boy.”

Saima studies Rosemary’s handiwork, nodding as they are impressed by the creation. “Nice work. It’s really well-done. Oh, a boy huh? Well, that should be fun, congratulations.”
