“Oh, I know that. I mean like, later.” Though if she had a snake she would probably carry it around all the time. After all, purse dogs are so last season! “Wow, they’re so cute. I love their color.”
“Of course, of course. I’d be glad to have you meet in person.” It should be a fun excuse to show off their beloved little companion. “Incredibly cute. I received them as a gift and fell in love immediately.”
“You have a snake?” Hearing that fact puts a huge smile on her face. Eve has always had a soft spot for reptiles, and she really likes snakes specifically. “Can I see it? I’ve always wanted to pet a snake.”
“I don’t have them on me – but I can show you a picture.” They take their camera out and shows Eve a photo of a light green cornsnake resting on their leg. “This is Alina. I’ve had them for almost a year now – absolutely precious little thing really.”
“That’s so cool.” Eve cannot say the same about herself. Whether animals like her or not is hit or miss, and she thinks it has something to do with the fact that she isn’t human. “Do you have a lot or pets at home or something?”
“I mean, I have a cornsnake that I look after. But I’ve had a lot of pets over the years who I loved. And I have a pretty deep connection to nature in general. So that’s probably why animals and I tend to get on pretty well.” Simply the nature of simultaneously of nature and beyond nature. It allowed for some pretty interesting connections as far as Saima was concerned.
“I think my doge likes you!” Her dog is usually yappy around strangers but he appears delighted by their presence. “Are you usually good with animals?”
“He’s a good little fella, really.” Saima is delighted and enjoys giving Eve’s dog some attention. “I’m pretty good with animals actually. Even animals who don’t easily get on with people tend to like me.”
Once Eve’s eyes finish resetting, she lowers her hands so she can see what they are talking about. “Oh! Those are like, pretty cool though. Plus it makes you unique and stuff.”
“Thanks, I do enjoy them myself -such otherworldly features are a part of being me. Although being not really of this world makes me in no position to judge others for what they really look like.”
“You do?” Eve is about to uncover her eyes, but then she remembers that they’re still glitching so she keeps them covered. “What’s weird about your eyes?”
“They are like the reverse of human eyes – so what usually is white in human eyes is blue-green in my eyes, and what’s usually some color in human eyes, is white in my eyes.” With that, they shift to demonstrate- letting their piercing and otherworldly eyes make their appearance.
“I can’t show you my eyes! They’re uh, ugly. Not my eyes…the eyeshadow.”
“I mean, I don’t mind if the eyeshadow’s a bit off. Hell, even if something’s with your eyes I don’t mind that either. I’ve got..odd eyes as well if I’m real honest with you.”
“Yeah I mean, honestly? I do stuff just for the aesthetic all the time.” No matter how weird or uncomfortable it may be, as long as she looks good Eve doesn’t mind. “I think the candy cigarettes suit me more than real ones though. I’ve had those before too, but they don’t taste very good.”
“Understandable. As long as you feel like it’s worth it – then, might as well do it for the look of it.” Saima had been enjoying doing things for aesthetic value lately, it had been enjoyable even if it was always practical per say.
“I can get how the candy ones would fit better – have a sweetness to it. The real ones ah.. not exactly made for pleasurable taste.“
“Amazon. Papa says they don’t really sell them in stores anymore.” Something about them being a bad influence on children or something like that. She wasn’t really paying attention. “I like them though ‘cause they’re sweet and make me look super cool.”
“I see. Explains why I hadn’t really seen any of these in a while.” The concern for children did seem to take things out of stores over the years. And so Saima seems to enjoy the taste a bit.
“They certainly are sweet. There’s something to having a sense of style.“
“Do you want one?” Eve offers the box filled with candy sticks to them. She has plenty so she doesn’t mind sharing with her friend.
“…Sure. I’ll have one.” With the box offered, Saima takes a candy cigarette from the box. Holding it for a bit, they look at it before putting it in their mouth. “Where’d you get these?”
