“Cool! I thought about like, making it from scratch but that seemed like way too much work.” Eve likes cooking, but she refuses to put too much effort in things.
“Right. I love making it from scratch. But I know it takes a lot of effort and that’s not for everyone.“ Saima never begrudges the means people have for getting to have good food.
“Is it good?” Some people don’t like frozen cookie dough, but she absolutely adores it.
“It is pretty good actually. “Frozen cookie dough is delightful especially with a little icing involved. Saima happily enjoys the rest of their cookie.
“Do you like decorating cookies? I’m honestly not really into this stuff but I do really like eating so…” She shrugs, and then shoves the cookie with an excessive amount of frosting into her mouth.
“Yeah, I kind of like the process of making something cute before eating it. I don’t always do it but it’s a nice treat.” Once their decoration is done, they check it out before taking a bite.
“Uh…yeah!” Eve giggles as she hands over a plain cookie to her friend. “I got lots frosting to decorate so you can use whatever you want.”
“Thanks. Nothing like having a lot of options to play with.” With receiving the plan cookie, Saima immediately checks out the different icings – choosing a couple to use in order to make a little pattern on the cookie.
“Yeah, I’m getting really good.” And by good Eve means she managed to bake the premade cookie dough without burning the house down so she is very proud of herself. “Do you wanna decorate one?”
“Good for you.” Any small steps had to be encouraged even in the midst of everything else. “Sure, I’d like to decorate one – do you have any that haven’t got a whole of sugar on it?”
The sugar cookies Eve made actually look decent at first, but then she dumps a large lump of the frosting onto one of them. As if that wasn’t bad enough she adds an additional heap of sprinkles. “Wow! I love art.”
Saima pauses for a bit. At first the cookies looked fine enough but.. then the frosting, and then the sugar. Now, it was a whole lot. But at least Eve was having fun.
“I mean. As long as you enjoy getting creative with your baking.“
“Why are Nerds called Nerds?” Eve’s brows furrow while she carefully inspects the small container of candy. “What about this is nerdy? A more accurate name would be…I dunno, colorful candy rocks!”
Saima also stares at the little box for a moments. “Honestly? I have no idea. Whoever named this had weird ideas. Colorful candy rocks would be more accurate…although I guess not much for marketing though.”
Eve’s eyes widen briefly, but then she starts to laugh. “Really? You’ve got the coolest friends. No one has ever given me a snake.”
With Eve’s reaction, Saima can’t resist chuckling a bit as well. “Yeah, I’ve been lucky enough to meet some really interesting people. I guess it really is a matter of who you know – and who you know who really is into snakes.”
