“Those do tend to be so easy targets, don’t they?” she laughed, her claws slowly extending out. She began to walk down the street, humming slightly as she began to think of someone. “I know someone I won’t miss,” she grinned maliciously, not bothering to hide her fangs. The big villa that laid at the edge of the little town belonged to an asshole who took advantage because he had the money.
“Exactly. They set themselves up for mess just by existing.“ Their laughter is mischievous as their form seems to change while they walk. Their eyes get brighter and more alien – form less recognizable human. More divine and full of uncontrollable magic, with their markings and ‘fog-like’ breath liable to shock someone coming through with ease.
“Heh, all the more to have some fun with that individual..“ Those who wouldn’t be missed were perfect targets.
Coatli hummed in agreement about nature as she took out a glass for Saima and she figured, sure, why not take the night slow. She placed the glasses on the counter and popped open the bottle before pouring them some tequila.
“Alright, salud! to hopefully my memories returning quickly!” she raised her glass.
“Salud, to your memories returning!“ Raising their glass, Saima toasted with Coatlicue before taking a drink from their glass. It was high quality and they relished the way that the drink went down. They never doubted that Coatlicue’s supply would be great, but it was still wonderful to have a good drink.
Their compliment had Tzipporah beaming. It was always fun to see how entranced their guests were with their shows, but when it was Tzipporah’s new friend, it made her ecstatic.
“I’m so glad you think so!” she happily signed, before gesturing to the space behind them, empty save for a few performers that were lingering. “I’d be happy to show you around the grounds. If you’re not busy of course”
It only seemed fair to recognize the skill and effort that went into a good performance. It appeared natural for Saima to be drawn to these kinds of spaces in some fashion.
“You’re very welcome. Ah – I’d love to check out the grounds. I just wanted to see you – so that would be great!“ Nothing like seeing the behind the scenes in a way – it gave a lot of insight into how people prepped for the show.
“ There is a common misconception that I will arise from the earth in a chariot of flaming red fire, led by great black stallions … all untrue, mind you. The fire is blue, ” Hades says, glancing briefly at the chariot beneath the trees, led by large black horses, before looking forward at the other. “ Casual conversation aside, why have I been summoned ? ”
Listening to Hades, Saima glances briefly at the chariot – impressed by horses and the style with which he carries himself. Attention back to the summoned god, they pause for a moment before answering. “Getting ready for the All Souls period – wanted to ask about interesting tributes to the dead that you’ve seen over the years.” They always wanted to know about how other deities dealt with dealt in a cultural context – and asking directly felt like as fair a way to find out as any.
[I can imagine them as connected somehow to Vanemuine, originally, since that ‘constructed’ god was looking over song, arts and literature – and saima has always been something of a patron for creatives over the years and partook in creative activities themselves more often than not.
Maybe they had ended up learning a lot from him in their way, way, way earlier years. That’s an interesting idea. Yeah – I like the idea of that specific deity serving as an early mentor figure for Saima and probably a source of their sense of responsibility and attachment to the creatives in existence.]
