“I thought we were on the same page here. Cutting people off simply won’t do, I have to kill them. Obviously.”

Vin rests his knuckles against his cheek, gesturing lightly with the fork between his fingers as he speaks.

“For one, the guy who borrowed my panini press in the 80s and never returned it. What a fucking asshole. He never called me back, either, but there was a lot of shit going on back then, so I never got around to breaking into his house for it.”

“Technically we are. Killing the people is just the most permanent way to cut someone off from your life. And theirs.“ There’s something very flippant about the way they make that comment. Someone’s got a bit too much experience with that.

“Ugh. Now that’s definitely worth some revenge over. Like damn, to never get it back? That’s ridiculous.“

“I remember back in the day, I used to be able to feed my problems to the pigs.” He is only mostly kidding, because they only came in handy, like, three times. Maximum. “Now I have to be an adult and exhibit ‘problem resolution’ and ‘moral values’. Blegh.”

Vin is able to twist most of the spaghetti onto his fork, into his cheek. He doesn’t even chew, he just swallows. It’s……..

“I know I blamed the plum oil, but actually, the blemish might be psychosomatic. Maybe I just need to get rid of the people who irritate me daily, and it’ll go away.”

“Ah the memories.“ They give a small little laugh, the thought of which is somewhat amusing although not the most effective. “Blegh. Weird how people ask for those things when they’re still inconsistent about that to this day.“

It’s a bit bizarre to witness Vin eat the spaghetti without swallowing – but as long as the food is good, Saima can’t really be bothered to note much about it.

“Hm, psychosomatic causes do tend to cause one-off blemishes pretty regularly. So cutting people off might do you some good.“

“I need to find me some of the energy.” Erzsi meant the remark as a compliment even if there was some truth to it. She had always felt comfortable enough around them to let a little bit of her true self show. Even if it was just the pessimistic part.

“That is very true. It’s an amazing thing to witness,” Erzsi said with a small chuckle. “I’ll be right back!” And with that said, Erzsi makes her way through the small crowd to the bar and orders the beers. “Ta-da! I hope you aren’t super picky about brand, I just ordered what I usually get.”

“That’s true. It takes a bit of change to find it, I’m sure.“ They also spoke some of their truth. Saima could relate to that pessimistic part, it had been something that they had become all too familiar with.

They smile in appreciation before waiting for her to place the orders.  A few more stretches didn’t hurt to calm them down. “Oh no, I’m not super picky about brand. If it’s something that you usually get, then I trust it to be pretty solid.”

meghatarozva‌:

“Oh, for sure! I am glad everyone sort of gets a long nowadays. It would be awkward otherwise.”

“Saima, it’s not your fault. I forgot to put this little meeting in my calendar and they just texted me asking where I was. You are not a distraction! And I will see you next week for those lessons, yes?” She called after them wanting to make sure they knew this was her fault.

“True, true. And life already comes with enough awkwardness.“

“Hah, I get how that happens. But see you next week for those lessons. Can’t wait to get started.“ They throw up a hand in a wave as a final goodbye gesture before continuing to stroll – soon enough to disappear back to their homeland.

Matt held them close, pulling Saima even closer to his side before he tugged the both of them off.

Traveling in this manner was second nature to him, an easier, intrinsic magic, movement of particles and being through that which he was most connected with – the ground. It was quick and dark and suffocatingly heavy, until it was not, and their feet hit solid ground once more.

Upon arriving Matt turned his attention first to his lover, making sure they had traveled well beside him, not in need of a rest or some respite before exploring further into the ancient and deep woods they’d settled in.

Before Saima knew it, they were off alongside Matt – moving through the world in such a quick matter. It felt like hardly much had happened at all outside of being pulled so close to Matt, which had been a nice touch. Even if it was more of a safety and staying close thing.

Even the little moments, Saima couldn’t resist finding some pleasure and contentment in. Upon arrival, they stomped their feet a little to reassure themselves that they were back on solid ground.

“Glad we manage to get through that just fine.“

💋 – Kiss my muse on the cheek

A surprise kiss on the cheek. “Well, hello there. Nice to see a familiar face, again, no?”It had been quite some time since Saima had last seen Elliot. So it had been a pleasant occasion to see him again. “Tell me, what have you been up to – I’m sure life has a way of keeping you plenty busy.”

“I think I’d ought to be a bear cub. I mean, if I could. We aren’t all so blessed, or cursed, as you, my dear S.”

…he forgot about the spaghetti he came in eating. Let him twist his fork in that and try to finish it, at least.

“See, I completely forgot about my problems. This is why I like you.”

“That’d be nice for you. Right, I am aware of the unique circumstances that I find myself in.“

At least he got back to the food if nothing else. “Glad I was able to help. Sometimes you need to forget about what’s bugging you for a minute.”

He promises he’s all waxed down too. I mean, for like, the next day or so. After then it’s all downhill from there, unless S likes 60s porn style Italian bush.

“And here I was thinking you were a twink this entire time.” Get it? Bear? Twink? “I’ll try not to assume every bear is you, but it might be hard to get rid of the association now. What kind of bear, though? Tall and skinny or short and furry?”

Well, that’s none of S’s business as they aren’t too picky about that sort of thing.

“Haha, not the worst assumption to make.“ They shrug and give a bit of a sheepish chuckle at that. “It’s alright, can’t blame you for thinking of that. I tend to take tall and lean forms – so I as a bear would be similar, a brown bear. “ It’d be the unusual eye color of the bear that would likely give Saima away to anyone who was actually trying to mark them out.
