“There are time periods where I’ve definitely hidden away from the human world for long amounts of time. In fact, I’ve done this kind of reclusive activity as recently as a lot of the twentieth century.  Of course, it was easy for many not to notice I was out of the way since my people didn’t have much contact with the Western world for multiple decades of that. Since it was an incredibly stressful time for people and the best thing for me to do was to support those who tried to keep their spirit alive through gathering in the forests whenever possible. And I might have inadvertently served as a kind of muse for creative types during appearing in what some consider to a dream every so often.”
