A: Aptitude
1. what are your oc’s natural abilities, things they’ve been doing since young?

Natural abilities: shapeshifting, traveling between realms, influencing their environment, elemental and energy magic, being able to speak in a way that persuades people, singing, storytelling, survival, protecting others, moving quickly

2. what activities have they participated in?

teaching others, spreading traditions and folklore, fighting for their people, hiding secrets from those that seek to hurt others, bringing comfort, being a muse to people, acting as a representative

3. what abilities do they have that they’ve worked for?

playing multiple instruments, writing, some dancing, cooking, teaching, negotiating other societies, styling themselves

4. what things are they bad at?

Sharing their own experiences honestly, trusting people, being truly open, sometimes focusing (they can get their head in other places for a bit), being in really crowded and loud spaces for a long time – if they are not prepared to be, being assertive sometimes

5. what is their most impressive talent?

Singing? Their voice is literally divine. But maybe their ability to make an impression and inspire others.

C: Comfort
1. how do they sit in a chair?

It depends. If out in public, they’ll sit up straight and fairly ‘proper’. But at home, sometimes they’ll have their legs over the side of the chair or they’ll sit upside down, or crossed legged in the chair. Or just on the floor. Or lie on the couch lazily. It really depends.

2. in what position do they sleep?

On their side, usually with a blanket wrapped around them.

3. what is their ideal comfort day?

Mostly wandering through the woods, with some time spend by the sea. If they’re lucky, they’ll catch a local performance in the midst when they want to be in town.

4. what is their major comfort food? why?

Rye bread. Because it is everything, goes with everything. And has a lot of personal meaning to them.

5. who is the best at comforting them when down?

…It depends? They’ll probably try to find someone who’s lived for a while since their issues can often come from having that extended life and coping with the fact that they’ve only gotten to really enjoy it in recent memory.

L: Lemons
1. what is their favorite fruit?

maybe apples. They’ll eat most fruits – as long as it’s fresh, Saima is likely to enjoy it.

2. what is their least favorite fruit?

I don’t think they really have one.  Just fruit they haven’t had a chance to try.

3. are there any foods they hate?

They aren’t a fan of super processed food – so if they can’t actually taste that there is actual food and effort put into the thing, they might not be into it that much.

4. do they have any food intolerances?

No food tolerances.
5. what is their favorite food?

Rye bread. But also semla is a pretty great treat for them.

•“My poncho and I are ready.”• A small laugh at her expense. She felt like a little kid whenever she wore it, which only highlighted how young she was– relatively speaking.

Having phantom pains, she rubbed her shoulder. •“They have been, very fantastical. It’s different than the first time around. Gods, I don’t even remember what I did.”• Some of her memories, it seemed, will be coming back whenever they wanted to.

•“I see. It can get busy, and I do respect that.”• She nods, as if to give notice to Al. •“Have you been in touch with anyone else? I feel like I was off the grid for so long that things have changed so much!”•

Hah, it’s always good to be prepared then. In any which way that you can be.“ They replied with a small goodnatured tone.

“Oh definitely. You’ve certainly been through a lot. And having it come back piece by piece can be overwhelming and strange to deal with. Memory is such a weird, weird thing – and how it works for different kinds is a whole another thing.“ Something that had been at Saima’s attention for a little while now.

“I have, I have – but things have changed so much – that I’m not even sure if you’d recognize some of the folks I’ve been in touch with these days. Especially since my own circumstnaces have changed in a major way. Circles shift so muuch over a relatively short period of time.“

•“I’m not quite ready for all the rain again, but if I try to go back it’ll be snowing, so I have to pick the lesser of the two evils.”• Which is definitely the rain, the snow still brought up bad memories for her.

•“I’m doing English Literature and History this time around, which is rather fun. Quite a lot of reading, however. The books I’ve had to purchase rivals the collection I have at home.”• Her back and shoulders ache from carrying them, but they’ve all been interesting thus far.

•“England hasn’t been too bad, honestly. I just like having something to gripe about. It’s the time I was spending in the Americas, everything is so odd there. And then students were telling me about how much they had to pay and I was flabbergasted! Where is Al when you need him?”• She did miss his charm.

“That’s very true. And you might as well go with the evil that you know that you can deal with.“ Saima had been prepared for all kinds of weather for a while but they were still willing to wait a bit on the whole snow thing as much as they liked it.

“Ah, that’s something about reading courses – so many books to get. But I hope the reading has been interesting. Sounds like there’s a lot to explore there.“

“Fair. Sometimes having a reason to gripe can be satisfying in its own right. Yeah, that can be a strange place. Especially in the states. The costs of education there is out of control. I hear he’s got a lot of things going on to have to deal with. “

She laughed at their words, the truth ringing to them. •“Isn’t that just the nature of it all?”• This felt good, nice.

•“Gods, yes.”• A dramatic eye-roll ended her statement. •“I want to stay with the sun on my skin for as long as my duties let me. I’m well, otherwise. Getting a degree– college has upped its prices more than I thought. Tell me, what’s happened with that?”•

Saima could only nod in agreement, glad to fall into this familiar friendship that had been so cherished by them.

“Hah, that’s understandable. Might as well soak in as much sun as you can. It doesn’t stay out like this for too much longer.“ An awareness of the coming change in seasons.

“Nice, what are you studying? And unfortunately – capitalism has taken quite the toll on access to education. I mean some countries have better support for people wanting an education than others – but the changes can leave one hurting for sure.“

“And so people continue to find things to try and cling to in the midst of everything. It can not be helped.” It was nice to feel comfortable just falling into talking.

“I’m doing alright friend. Enjoying the warmer weather to the best of my ability. How about you?“
