đŸš«what is one thing my muse wouldn’t want someone else to know about them?

In general, Saima tends to like for people just what they choose to tell them and maybe let folks figure out more from there. But a major thing that they don’t really want people to know about is the ways that they consumed hearts of comrades in their younger, younger days – when they were getting used to maintaining a physical form. It had been partially survival, partially finding something to carry the memories of those friends with them. In such ritual consumption, they preserved the memories of those few they roamed with.

Also – they’re not entirely opposed to doing so again if it came down to it. But that’s not something they like going around mentioning.

👀Favorite thing about the muse’s appearance? đŸ§„Favorite outfit for the muse?

My favorite thing about Saima’s appearance.. there’s a bit but I really like their eyes. They’re very bright and especially when they have the reverse coloring thing of blue-green background and white irises – it’s incredibly piercing. I just like the general not quite present vibe that they have at all times. It leaves an impression that many may not have the words to describe.

Favorite outfit – I’m really enjoying having them in casual sheath dresses with leggings, or when in jeans having long sweaters. I generally really delight in having Saima in layering outfits since it’s fun to experiment with details on their frame.

  1. what color do you associate with your muse?

I associate blue and white with Saima. Especially when their in their true form where they are most of a ghostly entity – they radiate that blue and white kind of energy. In general, though, the enjoy wearing a lot of blue and white so those are colors along with black that will show up in their appearance.

I also associate pastel colors since they tend to enjoy those kinds of softer colors.

12. favorite book?

Favorite book? Recently, I’d probably say Horror Noire, a history of Black people in horror cinema. I had been wanting to read that book for such a long time. So when I finally got the chance to read it, I definitely enjoy it and found it to be a fascinating read.

13. how are you?

I’m doing okay – feeling pretty bleh physically but I’m enjoying having the day off. Sometimes one just has to take a day to chill out for a bit.

“Can confirm the ear piercings. Have a few markings that resemble tattoos but have been on me ever since I actually took on a physical form a while ago.“

  • banana: favorite horror movies?

“Hm, this is an interesting question – but I tend to be fond of psychological thrillers in general. But if I had to choose one right off the bat, I remember enjoying Green Room as a more recent film that I’ve watched.  Another favorite is Suspiria, it’s just a gorgeous film in general – the visuals alone are ..magnificent really. “

  • coconut: favorite perfume?

“I tend to like somewhat more subtle scents but anything that gives that fresh from the forests or from the sea kind of vibe works well for me.“

Cosmos, sweet dreams, earth

  • cosmos: what’s one thing you wish you could say to someone you are no longer friends with?

“This is a really good question actually. Uh. I guess I wish I could say I missed them and I regret not being able to reveal my full self to them when I had the chance. But now that they’re not around anymore, I shouldn’t dwell on that too much. It’s not worthwhile, really.“

  • sweet dreams: are you happy?

“Relatively speaking yes. I’m happier than I’ve been in quite a bit – and I’m definitely attributing that to getting back to my roots in terms of who I really am and what role fits me best. By stepping back from pretending to fulfill a function, I’ve definitely felt freer and less constrained which is important.“

  • earth: where do you feel most at home?

Liminal spaces where nothing really feels real. But also forests and bogs – natural spaces where I can shed any sense of physicality and take on my true self at least for a few hours at a time. It’s incredibly relaxing to not have to pretend to be anything other than what you are.

I also like being in creative spaces though – when people are working on creating interesting things, that also helps me feel pretty at peace. Since it shows the process of continued mythos-making in the modern era.

3. How do they position themselves in a group? Do they like to be the center of attention, or do they hang back at the edges of a crowd?

Saima has always been more of an observer, it’s been something that they’ve carried since they were very young. They much prefer to be along the sidelines because drawing too much attention to themselves may cause them to want to disappear or suddenly excuse themselves out of discomfort. Of course, they’ve been able to handle themselves professionally for a cause they get involved with. But generally, they don’t mind being on the edge of a crowd.

Unless they are doing something musical, in that case – they don’t really mind attention since they are sharing a passion that they care for.

13. How do they greet the world — what is their typical attitude towards life? How does it differ in different circumstances, or towards different subjects? Why do they take these attitudes, and why do they change? How do these tend to be expressed?

Despite a certain wariness that comes from seeing what history has wrought on their land and the world at large, Saima still does have a certain kind of curiosity in the way they approach the world. This comes from originally not being all that associated with this realm and so they are still fascinated with the inevitable changes.

Although they’ve become a little more familiar with what the world requires in using a physical form to navigate it, they still have a detached perspective that allows them to just be willing to listen to the experiences of those who have been a lot more..enmeshed with all the happenings.

Saima’s general focus is finding the mysterious and mythic in modern life these days. Since they take a lot of inspiration and energy from such things. So they do have a passion for finding such aspects of life when they can.

14. What do they care deeply about? What kind of loyalties, commitments, moral codes, life philosophies, passions, callings, or spirituality and faith do they have? How do these tend to be expressed?

They care primarily about the land and people of Estonia – since it is place where the mythos of their origin has called them to look after. And specifically, the way that myths from way back can continue to influence the lives of those around them. It’s been their calling that to be a part of this realm, they will bring a touch of magic to their surroundings in subtle ways. If that means inspiring those in the midst of a fight, so be it – if it means volunteering and giving off that vibe of being from beyond this world a little bit, so be it. They are determined to help and be a useful presence for as long as they can.

21. What kind of relationships do they tend to intentionally seek out versus actually cultivate? What kind of social contact do they prefer, and why?

Saima rarely intentionally seeks out relationships. Although, they do tend to like finding people and beings that they can learn from – that they can observe how they play a role around here. So they have been known to fit themselves into situations in order to learn about how they can help the people around them and what role that requires them to play.

In terms of social contact, they do like making friends although – it is a complicated process because they are not certain to tell the real truth about their existence. So it’s playing the role of someone who is more familiar with that life than they really are. It’s still a question that has been nagging at them, since it’s getting harder for them to want to hide that part of themselves.

Over time they manage to cultivate relationships with those who have also been around for a long time albeit for different reasons. And they’ve honestly learned about how to best fit into that environment from being around such entities.

“I care what I look like because I care what people think of me.”

seekesotsibteadmist:

“Well, it doesn’t hurt for you to be honest about that. ” Even if it does feel vaguely unexpected for the other to care. “Nothing wrong with wanting to put your best self forward, but there’s still the matter of finding what that means for you. Which is a whole another project entirely.”

“What has this to do with me? It’s about knowing what other people want. See, this is the only thing I have known for certain: doing what people want me to do grants me favors.”

“I mean it could have been a means to try to find parts of yourself that you might want to surface more. But of course, you’re not wrong when you say doing what people want you to do helps get favor. It’s not exactly totally sustainable as a solo method if you don’t actually want to do those things – but it’s an approach that you can take.“
