“Hm… I suppose I ought to do that at some point. Though it would feel strange, to not work on my music at all, at least I think it would…” Roderich had a tendency to be rather single minded in his activities. Once he was focused on something he wanted to do, he wasn’t likely to stop any time soon.
“I can imagine how strange that would feel. So it’s your choice whether to try it or not. ” It was so difficult to break out of routines once they were well-ingrained that it was no wonder that one could be fixated on certain tasks for a while at a time.
“You’re quite right. If I weren’t so busy, I would certainly take some time to myself. Though I suppose I do that often enough, what with my music.” Really, with all the breaks in between work Roderich took, perhaps he really didn’t need a few days off. It all added up, after all.
“Fair. Focusing on your music is definitely one way of taking time for yourself. Although it might not hurt to occasionally have day to not even work on that. But that’s only a thought.” Although they were definitely in favor of people taking more breaks for themselves, Saima was never one to make it anything more ocf a casual suggestion at best.
“Hm, well, you’ve no need to explain yourself. We all need time to ourselves every now and then.”
He chuckles softly. “That is certainly true… Nothing is ever boring, though I wouldn’t object to some time to just relax. Perhaps I ought to take some time off.”
“Right. It only seems fair to look after yourselves sometimes.” Even if that came out in drastically different ways.
“Hah. Yeah, I’ve heard that’s the case. I feel like there’s always something new with the lot of those kind for some reason or another. Some rest certainly wouldn’t hurt you any.“
“Oh, I wouldn’t say it is completely your fault. You seem to have been quite busy.”
“That’s wonderful to hear, though,” Roderich replies, offering a light smile. “I’ve been doing as well as I can, I suppose. Life is hectic as always.”
“True. But I do feel a little ibt guilty for dropping out pretty much from everything – it was a needed move but it’s one that if I explained why many might not believe.” They return a grateful little smile.
“It’s nice to hear that you’ve been doing well too. Life has a way of constantly making you busy in one way or another.“
Saam doesn’t really think very highly of themselves necessarily. Like they can get the job done of looking after their people which is their primary point of existence. However, they don’t feel like they have much value after that so.. it leaves them wary of what others might even get from being around them. Even when Saam is among friends, they tend to be somewhat self-deprecating which is only a hint at how deep the self-criticism tends to go.
This low self-image has caused persistent issues with paranoia and inadvertently pushing people away.
“Mm, am I?” Roderich smiled softly, becoming more drowsy by the second. “I’m glad, then. You can get as comfortable as you like.” He mumbled his words, obviously starting to drift off a little, even though he’d just closed his eyes a few minutes ago.
“Good.“ Saam managed to mumble. Slowly, they were starting to drift off ever so slightly. Holding on to Roderich so, they were more than glad to have a nice nap in such comfort,. The last hints of a tune drifted out of Saam’s mouth before they started to fall asleep.
Roderich couldn’t hold back a light yawn, covering his mouth with one hand. “Mm… I might just have to,” he said with a soft chuckle. “You’re very comfortable, you know.”
They chuckled a little bit in response, betraying a small yawn of their own. “Hah. Thanks. You’re pretty cozy in your own right you know.” They kept closer in order to hold on Roderich a little bit as the inevitably of a nap became apparent.
The arm around him brought a small smile to Roderich’s face, and he got comfortable against Saam, closing his eyes lazily. “Mm… I could fall asleep like this, I think.” A nap was sounding good again, especially after that warm bath and cup of tea.
“Well, if you want to nap you can.“ Saam was feeling a little drowsy themselves in a most comfortable of ways. If a nap while out here was going to happen, Sam was prepared for that possibility.
