(goddess) The Mistress of the Birds. Lindu was the daughter of the sky deity, Ukko. She refused to fall in love with any of the luminaries, the Moon, the North Star or the Sun. Yet, she fell in love with the Northern Lights. After they were engaged, the Northern Lights disappeared. She lamented her loss and decided to follow him. She ascended to the skies and followed him north. The Milky Way is formed from her bridal gown.
