[Saima likely has a lot of attachment to those that served as teacher figures throughout their existence. This leads to them revisiting lessons from varying points of the past from time to time. It’s likely what they are thinking about when left to their own machinations completely.

And so they tend to really appreciate those who try to actively pass down information and stories. It’s a rare quality to be effective and there’s so many ways to learn from just trying to survive – but those who are really passionate about sharing what they know.. those are folks they can’t help but admire.]

[I can imagine them as connected somehow to Vanemuine, originally, since that ‘constructed’ god was looking over song, arts and literature – and saima has always been something of a patron for creatives over the years and partook in creative activities themselves more often than not.

Maybe they had ended up learning a lot from him in their way, way, way earlier years.  That’s an interesting idea.  Yeah – I like the idea of that specific deity serving as an early mentor figure for Saima and probably a source of their sense of responsibility and attachment to the creatives in existence.]

[I’m just thinking a lot about Saima coming to terms with a vastness that felt so foreign to them for so long – yet has been present throughout their entire existence. And so it’s really a whole another coming of age in a sense. 

Trying to find ways to surface that in the way that they interact with people that there has been a marked difference lately.

it’s really a number of transformations and becoming more aware of a self so long hidden away and suppressed on multiple levels. 

I have a lot of feelings about that and the connections to tricksters in mythology and the way that having a sharp wit about you has such usefulness in especially estonian tales. and i just.. i have a lot of weird rambling thoughts that are nice to consider. ]

nsfw headcanon – things I think about 

Sometimes I think about the fact that Saima has definitely changed the way that they’ve approached intimacy since they’ve been changing how they present themselves.

Which would probably make getting involved a little complex because do they really want to explain the ways they really enjoy pleasure to others? Do they want to explain why they may prefer only certain kinds of touch. 

Or the reasons why they do like using certain toys to please rather than feeling like taking on a role that they never felt super adequate in? At least in that way they can satisfy without feeling obligated to use a part of themselves that they are ambivalent about at best.

It’s all so intensely personal – that maybe they’d rather just keep it all to themselves. It’s safer that way most of the time.

   Saima is rather spiritual but in an otherworldly sense. They are certainly one to be aware of the possibility of multiple universes and thus figures that can account for multiple ways of seeing existence. They also have a spiritual connection with nature and with the mystical realm from which they originate. So their whole existence is carrying a sense of the divine into a modern world where there might be more doubt at least among humans.

Water is the element of calm, kindness, and insight. Water is known as the element of calm, balance, kindness, peace, compassion, harmony, and empathy. Its mere presence is a calming and healing influence. It is fluid, having a balance between the stability and practicality of the concrete and the intuition, imagination, and idealism of the abstract. Water has great clarity of insight, often easily seeing to the core of the issue. It is also generally a very good judge of character. Water is also known for itssubtly determined nature.

Intellectually, Water seeks understanding. Water always asks “why.” It is the most holistic of all the elements and sees everything in the universe as being connected with everything else. As such, it isn’t one subject, one area, or one line of reasoning that interests Water – it’s everything. Water is drawn to everything deep,abstract, and complex. It intuitively sees the connections between ideas and between cause and effect. It builds up complex networks of information with each bit connected in its mind with all the other bits that compare and contrast with it. It is also known for its creativity and love of the arts. Its weakness is its tendency to become lost in its own mind. This can be due to going down rabbit trails on related subjects, getting distracted, or simply getting so absorbed that it never even gets to make the decision in question. However, no element is more intelligent than any other. It is merely a different pattern of thinking.

Emotionally, Water is introverted and complex. Water has strong feelings and generally understands emotions very well, but tends to suppress emotions it sees as “harmful.” This is due to its desire for peace and harmony. So Water is perfectly comfortable expressing happiness, confidence, sadness, or loneliness, but it strongly suppresses anger, hatred, and harsh feelings in general. This can cause Water to bottle up hurt and anger, appearing calm and unbothered, then eventually releasing days, weeks, or even years of frustration all at once. Water’s wrath is rare,but terrible – especially if Water believes the object of its anger deserves it. However, sadness is the negative emotion Water shows the most. This is due to its kind, empathetic nature and its keen awareness that life is never what it should be.
