“This is going to be kind of a left-field question but what’s one of your favorite sights? When you arrive what’s something that you actually enjoy seeing?” Why Saima was curious about Death’s visual preferences, they didn’t seem to know – but it was interesting and they figured they’d might as well put it out there.

EXCUSE THE COLD HANDS.

Surprise. And yet, not really. Somehow Death’s cold hands are especially fitting. But they knew better to mention anything of that sort of nature. Too obvious a reply. “It’s fine really. Nothing to be excused for – at least not in this case.” Maybe to someone who hadn’t expected such a shiver down their spine – that excusing might be more necessary. But here, it was simply unneeded, though appreciated.

A bit of silence. When Death speaks, one certainly listens and they listen well while one is at it.  Humankind needs you. A reminder of a duty that never really goes away, of one that they would never willingly just shirk. Not for too long, after all.

“ You’re very correct, as to be expected. I just.. it’s just easy with the changes over time to feel less necessary. But I know full well that just because circumstances change doesn’t mean I can’t still reach them in one way or another.” After all, it had been behind Saima’s patronage and service-oriented activity these days.
