As the shore becomes closer he sees a figure standing there scrutinizing to where he was. “H E L P.” he screams, but his voice was sore for exhaustion, he was carrying a ‘dead weight’ He never felt afraid of mortal of other people, even though he should. No one knows for sure what would the grounders would do, but this person glows in a bright light, they can’t be evil, right?. “Please help, she’s dying.” and with every effort he does to scream he feels the pain in his throat “ PLEASE!”
The sound of someone screaming for help makes it to their ears. Which only drives them to move quickly to get into the water. What exactly this was, it sounded immediate and waiting would not do anyone favors. Especially since they were able to make out the idea of someone there dying.
“Coming!”A call in response, to signal they were making their way there.
Saima gets as close as they can to the …merman? That was likely what this being was, but more attention was drawn to who was being carried, a young woman. It seemed to be important to get her off of the other’s hands -and get the young woman further onto shore.
She’s sinking, the current is dragging her to the bottom, he swims as fast as he can. his tale moving with frenzy until he reaches her, holding her wrist, pulling her to the surface. If he doesn’t hurry she’ll with no doubt die. — When they are in the surface he gasp, the strength he use has left them weak, but he needs to keep moving and take her to land, he keeps swimming all his body ache in pain and yet he doesn’t let her go. Why he always do this?– saving humans from their certain death? this is not his job, he was just a merman trying to live in peace and harmony, sadly his heart is weak for those in need.
“Don’t worry you’ll be alright” he says, even though he knows she is still unconscious, soon they’ll arrive to the nearest land and someone will see her and help her more that he could ever do. “Just a few more minutes.”
Being one to spend time by the ocean often left Saima witness to a wide number of incidents. It was often no surprise that they would end up assisting someone coming ashore or trying to set off on some journey or another. As far as the deity was concerned, there was always an opportunity for surprises. With even that in mind, it couldn’t make the wanderer love the sea any less, it was deeply comforting even with the risks that it seemed to pose to humans on a daily basis.
The results of which seemed to be coming nearby. Saima had been strolling alongside the beach, enjoying the feeling of the water and the air in the area when something caught their attention. It appeared to be getting ever closer to shore.
“…I wonder what this might be now.” They had to be ready to assist or defend themselves if necessary, it was just a matter of seeing when what might be a body gets close enough to shore.
I hope all my Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Jewish followers have a wonderful Monday and know that they are loved and cherished and that the world is a better place with them in it!
“Oh I hear, hear much of him. After all, it should not be surprising that the likes of him would still be around in some form even after everything that has transpired. Of course, I’m always interested in seeing how these times have been treating others who are of divine origin – but maybe that’s just my personal interest speaking.
Baldr seems fascinating from a brief acquaintance – it would take more time for me to paint a better picture of his presence. Albeit, if that time is allowed me.
The last thing I’d like to do is to be an unwelcome presence no matter how much curiosity I may have about a given individual.”
