“True. I did waste a lot of time trying though, that’s for sure. It’s kind of embarrassing now that I actually think about it. I will be hopeful though. This will open new doors for me. Yeah. Tons of new doors.”
“Right. At least you tried though. I think it’s better to have tried and failed than to not try at all. I’ve been guilty of the latter too often and it just left me feeling hollow in the end. So wasted time is something that happens to the best of us.”A nod of understanding. “I do hope you find someone who likes you – you’re a pretty good guy.”
“I think my silly little crushes are finally gone…I’m glad too since none were even into me in the slightest”
“I guess that it is good that you’ve moved on from unrequited feelings. It’s usually for the best to let go of those that aren’t into you. Leaves you a lot more open for what might come by.”
“I’m a little worried certain people will find out, you know? I wont be hurt, but it wont be too fun to deal with. The horse is cute, though!”
“Yeah, I get what you mean. Some people would use that as prime material for teasing. So that might be a bit troublesome- but I feel like that would die down. ”
Well, I mean, it’s sort of a joke. It’s more like a funny thought? I’m not sure. I’m not serious as this situation would probably never come up. I was just thinking is all. I guess I’m not funny.
I mean it is a pretty funny thought. No, no I think you can be funny. It was an amusing thought. It’s just hard for me to tell the line between thinking aloud and being serious.I should have known you didn’t mean all that much by it.
Let’s say someone has children and goats. Someone is throwing a party. They say ‘oh and don’t forget to bring your kids!’ What do they mean? Bring the children or the baby goats? [Is he drunk? Nope]
[Just kind of looks at Feykir]
….Is this your idea of a joke? Cause it’s amusing if it is. But if it’s a legit question, um.. I guess i depends on the kind of party.
As Saam spoke, Feykir began to measure out the ingredients, acting almost as though this was instinct. He knew the recipe by heart and could most likely make it with his eyes closed. Constantly perfecting it was his goal. A treat he gave to his neighbors for a birthday or holiday. The sweet to treat himself. It was his first choice.
“Well, good. You’ve probably had it before, but not home made! And not mine!” Feykir flashed a smile to the other before turning back to his work, carefully following the proper guidelines for making this sort of treat. “I’m glad you could come, Saam. It’s always so nice to have you around. Baking alone isn’t nearly as fun as having an audience.”
“Hm. Very interesting then.“ The sheer enthusiasm was endearing and Saam could tell that Feykir was very much in his element while baking like this. Idly, they watched, paying attention to the way that Feykir moved.
“I’ll be glad to have your version. It’s nice to be around – I kind of like baking alone. But it’s cool to be able share our food. “
