Saima! I have something for you! [As if Lilli doesn’t always come with presents in tow for them. At least this time it’s nothing extravagant. Just two jars of golden, delicious honey.] I’m not saying it is the best honey you have ever had or will ever have, but I am fairly certain that it is close. You can almost taste the love in it.

Lilli, it’s always wonderful to see you. [The sight of honey does catch their attention.] Oh, I do enjoy some lovely honey. Where’d you get this from? I think I have a few things this can be spread on, I have to try this out for sure.

“I like that you are all too willing to give people’s nonsense right back at them. And you’re unapologetically over the bullshit. So, I do admire that. Obviously, you’re really persistent and as much trouble as it’s given people over the years, these days – I can respect that in the long run too.”

⛪ – Is your character religious or spiritual in anyway?

Saima is rather spiritual but in an otherworldly sense. They are certainly one to be aware of the possibility of multiple universes and thus figures that can account for multiple ways of seeing existence. They also have a spiritual connection with nature and with the mystical realm from which they originate. So their whole existence is carrying a sense of the divine into a modern world where there might be more doubt at least among humans.

a bustling diner that never closes

Time didn’t seem to mean much of anything here. Which was honestly fine as far as Saima was concerned. These days they were running on a much looser schedule than before. It left them with more ability to appreciate the seemingly neverending openness of this diner.

It also provided them the chance to introduce this odd, odd place that seemed to run nonstop to Janie. As an excuse to catch up, of course. After all, it had been some time since they last saw her and not being hurried gave a good excuse to hear about what she had been up to.

“So listen – we’ve got nothing but time here. And I’m sure the waitress will be over in a bit.“ Something they could speak to from experience. “I want to know everything about how’ve you been.“

10. abandoned church where the choir continues their song

Abandoned places had turned into places of comfort for Saima. Something about spending time in such areas made them feel at ease with their own restless nature. It didn’t feel inappropriate for them to lurk in the halls of buildings that had already felt haunted. If anything, it appealed to them further – made them suspect that such places were made for the ethereal, for the otherworldly.

And in sharing more of this experience with Lilli, Saima had taken her to a church – where she would hear the song of a choir that has been long gone. Singing in hymns of old times, of older languages – of tales Saima had first witnessed long, long ago.

For now the pair were just in the back of the church, having just entered the building. Saima stayed close to Lilli’s side, knowing that this might be quite the experience for her. A slight trail of fog came from Saima’s mouth as if relaxing into their true state a bit in this place.

“Are you going to be okay here? I – I know this is a lot. But, I wanted to show you somewhere like this for a while.“

More advice for folks:

I’d suggest just writing down thoughts you have about your character even when they’re not the most structured. Like even a list or a couple sentences of info can still be a way to talk about details for your character that might not readily come up in rp.

Has there ever been a time you wanted to quit roleplaying? What made you stay?

Oh yeah, definitely. I’ve deleted a few blogs because of life busyness only to reboot the characters and still be writing them. And I’ve came real close to deleting here too.

But.. I think I just have a real strong attachment to this character. So I was probably going to log in and write some drabbles or little headcanons just for myself if no one else. And in the process I always manage to find folk worth interacting with over the years.

4: What is your advice to new/upcoming roleplayers?

New roleplayers?

Honestly? Just focus on what you enjoy about your character. Also be willing to put your character out there just for the hell of it – cause that’s how interactions build.

But really, being there for yourself and your own character will honestly keep you through whatever else might arise. And also experiment with where you want to rp. Maybe it’s not even here. Which is honestly, valid.

12: What would they want to be remembered for?

Saima doesn’t really need to be remembered per say.

But if there was one thing they would especially like to be remembered for – it’s being able to be of service to those around them. To be able to be a guiding presence and someone who supported the needs and creative efforts of those in the area.

I suppose they really just want to ensure that there’s a spirit of mythic thinking that passes through traditions over the years.

  • 13: What three words do they use to describe their personality?

Saima often describes themselves as independent, reserved, and creative. There are probably more words that they could use – but those three seems to sum up their self-description fairly well.

  •  14: What three words would YOU (the mun) use to describe their personality?

I would describe them as otherworldly, reserved and eclectic. There’s just something about them that suggests of another time and place entirely. And they have strong eclectic and unusual tastes. To be fair, my fourth word for Saima would also be independent because they tend to not let themselves get controlled easily even in the face of their home having other people in charge.
