“Or impose anything at all. I’m a redhead, they should have known better than that.” If he had a blanket, he would curl up in the chair for a rest. That’s how comfy it is in here, and how much he trusts S. “Did you ever have anyone like that?”

“You’d think they learn. But no, they take it as a challenge somehow.“ Insert a droll roll of the eyes on Saima’s part. “Oh yeah. I had a bunch of people trying to shape me one way or another – Danes, Swedes, Prussians, Polish for a bit, Russians. Always trying to convert our people into their ways. Such is the nature of those seeking empire.“

Saima had always suspected that it was only a matter of time. That time could have been years as far as they were concerned – but their fondness for Atlas would not lessen, and neither would their attraction. Even so, they had been perfectly content to just spend time in his apartment, relishing in his company. In the quiet satisfaction, there still lurked an underlying desire – wondering when the chance to be released would come.

In some unexpected turn of events, tonight seemed to be the occasion. Thus, Saima couldn’t help but let out these longing sounds, treasuring the way that Atlas’s hand and lips felt on their body. Eagerly, they rocked their hips back against Atlas, building further tension, needing the charge of their bodies against each other.

Vin gets this smug look on his mug, courtesy of whatever princeling pull he still has.

“I couldn’t be killed, darling. Not with the price they had all placed on my head. Honestly, if anyone has an issue with me now, they should take it up with all of them,” he says, leaning back again with a deep breath, having all but spilled his guts on the floor in his fit of laughter. “Spain, France, Austria. I could have been a fine young man if it weren’t for them.”

That little smug look is somehow even more entertaining in the context of this story. “Heh, fair enough. ” Saima gives an understanding nod. “Funny how those people try to shape you into the way that they wanted – only for you to turn out the way you are. It’s absolutely foolish for those sorts to have really tried to impose so much on you.”

@seekesotsibteadmist!!

he’s walking ambrosia around, the great pyreenees trying her best not to walk too fast, not when today has been not good in terms of deimos’ bad knee. he has to stop for a moment, part of him regretting turning down someone’s offer to walk his dog. ❝ ’m not in your way, am i? ❞

Out for a stroll, Saima finds their pathway blocked for a bit by someone stopping to take a pause. “A little bit – but I’m in no hurry so I wouldn’t worry about it really.” Benefits of being on their own time, hardly ever being pressed about getting to places if they didn’t feel like it.

“ sounds… fun. sarcasm highly intended. actually, sounds kinda dangerous. nobody messed with you? religious zealots tended to be pretty judgmental of anyone different, and Saima, in their personification, would have been VERY different, would they notwell, the good news is YOU’RE not crazy: they are. people who don’t see it, even after you put the evidence right in front of them, are either blind or stupid. maybe he could say it in a nicer way, but it’s what he thinks. even before he knew magic was real, it was hard to deny that there were some unexplainable things in the world. certainly, he had his doubts that the world was as clear-cut-and-dry as most people described it… when his powers were revealed, it had only confirmed an intuition he’d always had. he’d like to think he would have believed Saima, although it’s hard to know for sure… but what matters more is that they have his support, now! for however much THAT was worth… probably not a whole lot.

that’s good, though! I mean, the more comfortable you are with yourself, the less you have to be nervous about, right? he doesn’t consider what that means for HIS nerves, though… nope. best not to go there!

Another small dark laugh came from Saima, understanding that sarcasm all too well. “Oh, it was extremely dangerous. People messed with me quite often, they tried to burn me a few times. And when I didn’t burn like they expected – that only made them angrier.” Those memories were intense especially since Saima had a weird fascination with the ways people would try to kill them before they’d make their disappearance, leaving nothing behind.

“Yeah, you can only do so much. Can’t fix willful ignorance or closed-mindedness if the person involved isn’t willing to try.“It was just a face Saima had to get used to over the years – there were always people who weren’t likely to believe, thankfully those didn’t have nearly as much reason to seek them out.

“Well, yes. At least that’s the feeling I’ve been experiencing lately, for sure.“

“I remember one time Spain dragged me out to be paraded around in front of his court, and I was so absolutely not into it that day,” Vin starts laughing in the middle of his sentence, dragging one hand down his face.

“Oh, my god. I behaved so horribly that day. To be fair, I just didn’t want to get dressed. All they were going to do was ‘oo’ and ‘ah’ and give me lame presents. So,” he giggles, face becoming redder the more he tries to keep it together, “so after five minutes, I jumped onto the table, and started naming every single person he had ‘entertained’ within the last five days. Quite a long list, if I say so myself. Oh, he nearly died. I nearly died, actually, with the chores I was given afterward.”

Saima is already amused at the potential that this story. Sometimes the very beginning of a tale is surely enough to get you hooked.

“Heh, not wanting to get dress can cause so many problems.“ The sheer sight of Vin not being able to keep it together causes them to laugh more and more along with the story. “Damn the entire list – wow. It’s a wonder that you survived after pulling a stunt like that.“

“I appreciate it, really. It’s harder for me to get out nowadays…but I don’t wan to coup the kids up because of it.” It’s good for her too. Rosemary gets restless when she is cooped up at home all day. “How have you been Saima?”

“That’s very real. It’s always good to give the kids some space to play and some fresh air.” Kids cooped up only seemed to lead to some messy situations as best. “Me? I’ve been well – busy as usual but I can’t complain too much. Been staying on the move which is always an adventure.”
