“You make it seem as though your existence has been a battle.” Which Lilli knows very well that it has been. Their choice of words could not be more apt or appropriate. “Well, it is nice that we can be like this in between your battles and your fights. It’s good to see you, again.”

They give a soft little laugh. “I guess that’s the only way I can really describe it..” The challenges of it all can be overwhelming and every day is a miracle that Saima had continued to survive. “Of course, it’s wonderful to see you as well. I want to know what’s been going on with you.”

“You’re welcome. It’s only fair I get you something to warm up with.“It just made sense for Saima to offer Lilly some coffee upon her arrival. With a cup of their own, they take a seat on the couch to enjoy the smell of the warm drink before taking a sip. “Yeah, the weather drops quite quickly around here. I think the only reason I manage is that I’ve been forged in this area.“

the word can be anything. try a colour, an emotion, relationships, the weather, or even a name to make me think what that word means to our muses’ dynamic and how can i convey that without saying the word. synonyms are allowed… but let’s try to be creative here, guys.

McKenzie sighed, thankful there was someone that knew the same feeling well. “It’s just irritatating to have to basically censor yourself so others will find you easier to talk to. And it’s annoying when they make it sound like a bad thing, as if you can just change it for them. Like, just speak to another person then.” 

“There’s some things I like about being me, but there loads more things I don’t.” They tried to think about what they liked, what they liked best. “I can emote with my body very well, I guess not a lot of people can do that?”

   “It really is so annoying. Because you realize these people never really wanted to know you fully in the first place. Otherwise. they’d never ask you to just change things to suit their purposes.” Too much direct experience with having to hide and purposefully leave out bits of themselves lead Saima to a frustration with the whole thing entirely. 

“And that’s understandable. Emoting with your body very well huh? That’s a really neat ability. Since so much of communication is body language and people aren’t really aware of that.“

    “My God!” he exclaims in feign shock – that frankly seems real enough. “You’re not a millennial who gazes at their phone all hours?!” Truthfully if asked, Sal could not begin to elaborate on what he felt an engineer, programmer, or anyone that dabbled in computers, did in their personal life. Because all and all, it was boiled down to the concept of ‘nothing.’  

   They can’t help but laugh at the faked shock. It both seemed possibly real but Saima knew damn well that wasn’t the case. “Hey, you brought up the computers ending society. I was just saying that it’s probably a good idea to step away for the sake of maintaining some kind of sanity.”
