A nod of understanding, dreams had a way of being rather intense experiences. “I see. I understand how it’d still be a lot to go through – certain dreams have a way of really getting to you.”

Eurydice let her fingers brush the surface of the old tree, patterns are drown in her ebony skin, a present from the old soul living inside. A gift of love and appreciation, the sweet nymph smiles and look at the godlike entity that travels with her. “Please” she urge them “tell me more – I have known only mine and few others now that you have shown me, but I see around me and find myself lost in a world so big. Please, tell me your stories.”

When Eurydice urged them to tell more of their stories, Saima couldn’t help but smile. They always did have a wonderful time when they had the chance to talk about their origins. And to do so in the midst of a dear forest, this only made them feel all the more willing to talk.

“Indeed it can be easy to be lost in a world this vast.“ They sympathize with the feeling of being overwhelmed. “But sure. I’ll tell you some stories – in the beginning, the sky had been connected to a large tree – much larger than anyone could see these days, the creation of the sun, the moon and the earth – awakening from the same source. A crater which had fallen to the earth shaped the lands – seeing that creation was amazing, no one knew what to make of it. And so they could only make stories to explain.“

They smile wistfully, allowing themselves to go back, far back in a way that was rarely allowed. “In those crater shaped lands, many beings came to flourish – Kalevpoeg was the great first king of the area. And there were many tricksters, giants, maidens and nature entities – all of whom still have their stories passed down over generations. Me? I had come to age among these tales, wandering around everything. I learned from the old wizard Vanemuine who had been in charge of song, literature, and folklore. Throughout the years and the struggles of people in Estonia – I’ve tried to keep that mythic spirit alive and encouraged among them. It helps that I’m something of a spirit deity myself.

[SMS]: I would be daft not to. A truly skilled baker will always rely on the knowledge of others who do things better than them.

[SMS]: Is it snowing yet where you are?

[text] precisely. it’s always best to be aware of your limitations.

[text] It has snowed off and on for a few weeks. But nothing super consistent.

[SMS]: The fire went out. Jan went to get more wood and I’m waiting up for him.

[SMS]: I got to thinking about dinner and baking and the question popped into my mind. Nobody knows rye like you do.

[text] ah i see. fair enough.

[text] Understandable. I’m glad that you appreciate my expertise.

lilli-of-the-mountain‌:

[SMS]: Oh of course. The only thing worse than a thick crust is a thin crust that tears.

[SMS]: Wait, Saima. It’s late. What are you still doing awake?

[text] which is all the challenge of making a good crust – reaching that right balance.

[text] ah.. i wasn’t having an easy time sleeping. nothing new for me.

[text] what are you doing awake?

lilli-of-the-mountain:

[text] I mean – it’d add a different variety to the kinds of crust you work with. I’d probably use it more for savory pies. But it’ll likely make for a subtle complement to fruit fillings.

[SMS]: That could be delicious. Maybe with a meat and vegetable filling? How would that affect the flakiness, though? I do so love a flaky crust.

[text]Yes with a meat and vegetable filling would be delicious.

[text] it’s probably a bit more stable than you’re used to – but if you mix it in right, you could probably still a good amount of flakiness. just not make too thick of a crust

Some blue haired chick is suddenly outfit your house late a night, equipped only with an amp and an electric guitar. She doesn’t care that its late as she suddenly starts to shred this fucking guitar like she’s as a metal rock concert.

Well, this is certainly a surprise. Saima knows they don’t usually get visitors at this time. And yet..the fact that this girl knows how to seriously shred is impressive and gets some rather enthusiastic headbanging out of the deity. [m/]
